How MP3 transcription works

  1. 1Upload an MP3 that contains speech and start the transcription task.
  2. 2Review the timestamped transcript and speaker labels when processing completes.
  3. 3Copy or export the text as TXT, Word, PDF, SRT, VTT, or CSV.

Prepare an MP3 for clearer text

Clear voices and limited background noise help transcription. Heavy compression, music over speech, and people speaking at once can reduce accuracy. Review names and technical terms before using the transcript.

MP3 to Text FAQs

Is MP3 to Text free?

The page is free to open, but AI transcription uses credits. Anonymous users also have a 20-second per-file limit by default, independent of their credit balance. Current rules are linked above.

Can I download subtitles from an MP3?

Yes. After transcription, review the result and export SRT or VTT subtitles, or download TXT, Word, PDF, and CSV.

Will music in my MP3 become text?

This tool transcribes spoken words. Instrumental sections and music over speech can reduce the quality of the transcript; listen and correct the result before sharing it.
