Frequently asked questions
How much smaller will my file be?
It depends on source duration and encoding. We export MP3 at 64, 128 or 192 kbps. Large WAV inputs usually shrink substantially, while a low-bitrate MP3 may grow. Compare both size and sound before choosing.
Where are my files processed?
These tools upload files for server processing. Files expire after 24 hours and are then scheduled for cleanup. Continue Editing remembers files in this browser tab until refresh. Processing does not use your credits.
Which formats and limits apply?
Audio input: MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, AAC and OGG. Video to MP3 accepts MP4, MOV, MKV and WebM with an audio track. Guests: 25 MB; signed-in users: 100 MB. Up to 10 minutes, mono or stereo. Audio outputs are MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A and OGG; extraction and compression export MP3. OGG uses Opus at 48 kHz; other outputs use 44.1 kHz and does not preserve tags or artwork.
